BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP

6:30Pm • EVERY THIRD WEDNESDAY

The Bereavement Support Group on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm at St. John's Church. Everyone is welcome to attend. If you are mourning the loss of a loved one and seek the companionship of others experiencing the same, please join us. Please call Linda Iannotti or Carm Zmudosky so they can plan the agenda for the newly bereaved.



CATHOLIC MEN'S FELLOWSHIP

8:30am • saturday • st. john's social hall

Men's Club meets every Saturday morning in the St. John's Social Hall 8:30 am - 10:00am.

Our session is structured : Reflecting on Sundays Mass readings followed by a short meditation, questions with prayer and encouragement. You will be welcomed by hot coffee, donuts or bagels and fellowship. Come join us.

The Parish Life Ministry is a dedicated group within a church parish that focuses on fostering community, building relationships among members, and actively engaging parishioners in various aspects of the church life, including worship, service, formation, and outreach activities, essentially aiming to create a vibrant and supportive Christian community within the parish boundaries.

 The Parish Outreach Ministry is dedicated to helping people in need. Attending to the temporary needs of a person with compassion.

Some of the organizations that the Parish Outreach advocate for:

  • The Rome Rescue Mission
  • The Lucy House (For victims of domestic violence)
  • Connected Community Schools
  • Feed our Vets
  • Sleep in Heavenly Peace and more.

The parish safety team has been formed to provide support during emergencies and has undergone comprehensive training.

PRAISE & WORSHIP

Praise and Worship is held on the third Monday of each month at 6:30 at St. John's Church, featuring Ron Madonia and Bruce Clifford. All are welcome.

The Rite of Initiation for adults is a process of prayer, study and discussion.  We welcome:

  • Unbaptized adults who wish to learn more about the Catholic faith.
  • Baptized Christians from other denominations who would like to learn more about the Catholic faith.
  • Baptized Catholics who have not received the sacraments of First Communion and/or Confirmation.
  • Catholics who would like further information training in the Catholic faith.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION

2:00pm - 3:00pm •

Food distribution is for registered families that have previously completed the intake form.  Unregistered families may register at the food distribution.  Food distribution begins at 2pm on the 2nd Friday of each month.  Enter the parking lot from the Bouck St. entrance across Ace Hardware.

ADORATION

6:00am - 9:00PM • SUNDAY - SATURDAY• tRANSFIGURATION OF OUR lORD • ST. JOHN PAUL II ADORATION CHAPEL

Please consider signing up for an hour a week or adding your name to the substitute list.  Two people are required at a time.

If you cannot make your hour, call your captain for replacement.


Many people have commented how an hour of Adoration has renewed them and helped them with struggles of every day life.  Can you watch for one hour?

THE NOVENA TO OUR LADY OF THE MIRACULOUS MEDAL; ST. JUDE AND TO ST. PEREGRINE

6:30pm rosary

This beautiful novena is led by Deacon Michael Gudaitis is for anyone who suffers from cancer or in need of healing. A blessing with relics are offered at the end of the novena.
